5 Fun Places to visit with kids in Nashville

Updated: Apr 3, 2023

Living in my environment it taught me that I was only limited to what I could not see. I observed the possibilities that where I was and who I was could all be a lie. I constantly phandomed the moment to embrace who I truly was and not who civilization said I was.

Being bullied as a child made me realize I must have been someone that caught the attention of others. Did I like it no but it was attention that gave me reasons to fight for myself. To fight for who I am.

I dreamed of places where I could celebrate. Be free and enjoy my family. Inalways wanted a family growing up. The family I came from were so distant. I wanted to feel connected to the union of God through "Family" he is the center of families and his presence is forever welcomed in my home. I adore my family.

My kids and husband are my biggest supporters. That's why it was taken in consideration that my family needed a different path and a fresh start. Nashville was calling me. I'm an old southern girl with big dreams and Nashville is growing so fast. There are all types of opportunities and activities to do in the city.

My favorite things to do is take advantage of free events in Nashville. Nashville is home of music city. You can find some Live shows almost anywhere. So many things to do with the kiddos too!

5.Nashville Shores

When I came to Nashville in 2019 I wrote a note to myself that I would get out and enjoy the opportunities all around me. We toured parks, musuems, went to concerts, visited churches, events, comedy shows, even visited the Nashville Children's Theathre located in downtown Nashville.

Nashvillechildrenstheatre.org The Children's theater is a LIVE experience forbthe whole family. My daughter had a field trip there that I chaperone. I cried at the end of LLAMA LLAMA RED PAJAMA as it reminded of me as a kid sitting next to my beloved grandmother Mary C. Anderson.

Her grandchildren kept her alive long enough to have children of their own. I can imagine her in her red pajamas reading us a bedtime story and tucking us in with a kiss on the check.

Memories are what keep me inspired! Our membership at The Nashville Science Center has come in handy and you can even get a discount on membership with your SNAP benefits eligibility. Only $150 for the whole family for an entire year!

The parks nearby are good for picnics after racking up at my favorite store Circle K where they now have snacks 2 for $1. The best park so far is Lee Victory Park in Smyrna. townofsmyrna.org

Hungry? On a budget? checkers has their hamburgers 10 for 10 everyday after 5pm.

The pool areas will be opening and our favorite places to take kids for a swim is Smyrna Outdoors Activity Center. townofsmyrna.org They have inside activities for all ages and outdoor activities as well. I forgot to mention the waterslide and large pool! Memberships at the YMCA are less pricy than usual thanks to church organizations partnerships and fundings.

Nashville Shores is also some fun places to visit when in season kids love it there! Nashvilleshores.com Stars and Strikes was our first favorite family place to visit. It became our least favorite when we found out about Murfreesboro Strike and Spare. The mall is attached to this one for mom to shop around! Kids free!

Trips to the mall turn into an all day event thanks to Music City Gaylord Opryland 15% percent off for planning a romantic getaway for use code: "ADP " to use discount. The hotel resort is located right next to the mall for tours and activities in the winter months. For a city hotel they have an awesome family resort and we go every year for Christmas. Nashville local libraries have crafts and store time several days a week for parent and children.

Since we have been in Nashville we have been having the time of our lives. These are some of the things to do in Nashville some free some a fee. There are fee bonus places listed too. Take advantage of the links and codes for huge savings and peace of mind. Your children will thank you later.
