3 Things to Keep Kids Busy During COVID-19

As a mother of three, it is my duty to get my kiddos alert, aware, and in training for any natural disasters. Sometimes we question things that don't have reasonable answers. Children wonder why and usually ask why to every question, but we can try our best to keep them busy during this time of crisis. Here are three things I recommend.

Keep your child educated

ABC Mouse was giving away free memberships, but has now downgraded to offering one month free! Let your children take advantage of skill sets needed for everyday life. This is the time to be creative and spending time with family. Whether that is drawing, painting, learning how to work YouTube, or even making a family tradition. Children need to keep busy so that they will stay active and continue to learn and grow. I know there are many parents who still have to work. Spending a few hours each day with your kids is beneficial. Creating memories that can last a lifetime is what its all about. You will be surprised what your child can do. You may even have a talent you never knew about. Our babies look up to us to be the teacher, the nurse, the chef, the pastor, a friend, even a miracle worker lol! We are their first teacher and we are held responsible for their growth.

Teach your child about Christ

Easter is not just about bunnies and candy. It is only to celebrate the life of Jesus Christ. Show them how Jesus had to suffer so we can be free from sin. Sitting down with the Bible might be boring to your littles, so I recommend using some games or trivia to get the convo started! The Youversion Bible App has an app for kids with puzzle games, interactive videos, and quizzes on it.

You will see a difference in your child when these important qualities are apart of their learning experience. So when things are back to normal there won't be any weird adjustments for you and your child.

Show your child a new skill set

Does your child have any unique gifts or talents? You can help them develop it by teaching them something new or by asking them to make something for you. Maybe your child likes to draw, hop on Youtube and see what new creative ideas you could work on with your child. Or maybe your child is techy, you could ignite their fire by asking them to program your remote control, or make your text messages large. Challenge them into the career and calling that's on their life! At their college graduation, they might make mention of how inspiring that was for them in choosing their path in life. ❤

Stay Safe, Covered, and Protected!

Please be sure to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, stay prayed up, wear a face mask, and practice social distancing from others. Also be sure to call and check on loved ones! Thanks for viewing!
